Eating Disorder Focused Nutrition Sessions

Brandi has worked with eating disorders and disordered eating since 2005 in a variety of treatment settings. Her experience includes supporting children, adolescents and adults struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating disorder and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder. She has earned the designation of certified eating disorders specialist and supervisor (CEDS-S), which is awarded through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). She takes a holistic approach with her clients, taking into consideration their environment, family support, medical issues and overall wellness. Brandi understands that it takes a treatment team to help her clients fully recover, and she truly values the other team members input.

When working with children and young adults with eating struggles, Brandi uses a family based treatment (FBT) approach. Initially she will meet with all parents (without their child present) to build their knowledge and confidence in supporting their child's recovery.

General Nutrition Sessions

Brandi is here to help with questions regarding sports nutrition, managing medical issues, and general healthy eating. She strives to help her clients improve their relationship with food and their bodies by breaking free from dieting and instead relying on their hunger/fullness signals and noticing their eating patterns. She encourages her clients to look at a variety of factors to improve their well-being including healthy sleep, stress management and physical activity.

Nutrition Assessments

A thorough assessment of your current and past nutrition habits will be conducted and goals will be set at the initial meeting. When working with individuals with an eating disorder, collaboration with current and former physicians, therapists and other clinicians will take place between sessions with the client's consent. Family involvement is an important part of recovery and family members are included in the process. If the client is a child or teen, Brandi will meet exclusively with parents at the initial assessment.

1.25 to 1.5 hours, $195

Nutrition Follow-ups

Initially it's be helpful to meet every one to two weeks, but eventually less frequent meetings may be possible. This simply depends on the client's needs and progress.

55 minutes, $140
