Disordered Eating

Brandi has worked with eating disorders and disordered eating since 2005 in a variety of treatment settings. Her experience includes supporting adolescents and adults struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating disorder and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder. She has earned the designation of certified eating disorders specialist and supervisor (CEDS-S), which is awarded through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). She takes a holistic approach with her clients, taking into consideration their environment, family support, medical issues and overall wellness. Brandi understands that it takes a treatment team to help her clients recover fully, and she truly values the other team members input.

When working with children and young adults with eating struggles, Brandi uses a family based treatment (FBT) approach. Initially she will meet with all parents (without their child present) to build their knowledge and confidence in supporting their child's recovery.
